Some of the most common complaints I’ve received from clients are “I don’t get enough sleep!” and “I’m always tired!”
Getting good quality deep sleep for 8 to 8 1/2 hours every night is one of the most important things you can do for your health. You need to make sleep a priority in your life.

It’s important to have not only the right amount of sleep, but to also sleep at the right time. For adults, the best time range to go to bed to get good quality deep sleep is between 9pm and 11:30pm. If you go to sleep later than midnight, even with the right amount of hours you need, the quality of your sleep will not be optimal.

Here’s how to increase your energy without caffeine or energy drinks.

If you’re like most people, including us, you would probably like to have more energy. Most people wake up thinking how nice it would be to stay in bed, and about what time they can get BACK into bed! And then they “have” to have their coffee in order to operate. I have helped people get more natural energy, deep sleep at night, and not rely on drinking coffee or energy drinks.

You can help your body give you the energy you need in a much healthier way.

First, make sleep a priority and make it a habit to go to sleep before 11:30pm, and make sure you get 8 to 8 1/2 hours of sleep.

Second, maintain a healthy anti-aging diet with a lot of vegetables and fruit, and lean protein, more whole live foods, and less processed/packaged foods.

Then, we believe that taking a good multivitamin or anti-aging supplement that your body is actually absorbing and utilizing is key.

You also should have a good regular exercise regimen to keep your body active and fit, and then try to get at least 8 hours of sleep at night.

Finally, lifestyle choices such as smoking or alcohol will also directly affect your body’s energy producing ability.

Obviously, everyone’s basic energy level and metabolism differ, but this healthy foundation will give your body the tools it needs to provide energy throughout the day without having to use caffeine and sugar to increase your energy artificially!

But did you know that part of aging involves a DECREASE in energy? This is because as we age, the number & efficiency of the power plants in our cells (called mitochondria) diminish.

Time for a little Biology 101:

The mitochondria is the power source in every cell of our body. And it tells the cell what to do.  The number of mitochondria is really high and concentrated in the brain, the heart, and skeletal muscles. (approx. 5,000 per cell.)

When we’re young, the mitochondria is at its optimal – energy all day, deep sleep at night. Unfortunately, as we age, the number of mitochondria decreases and the efficiency of the mitochondria decreases. That’s why we might experience that afternoon slump and that’s why the quality of our sleep is not as good as we get older. And our bodies feel the effect of aging, both physically and mentally.

Research has also shown that mitochondrial processes are key contributors not only to cellular health and survival, but also to cellular death.

When the mitochondria are subjected to certain stress factors, the biology and the processes change, triggering the release of certain proteins that activate the “cellular death pathway”. This includes “programmed cell death” which occurs during heart attacks and other disease progressions, including cancers.

It seems that the link between mitochondrial function and aging, disease, and ultimately cellular failure are directly related, but WHEN and WHERE the on/off switch is was very much a mystery.

But recently, there has been an astounding anti-aging-discovery regarding mitochondrial function.

Find out about a natural supplement that resets the expression of our mitochondria to being efficient and youthful again. I call it Youth in a Bottle!

This is one of the pivotal recent anti-aging discoveries that is opening new vistas in the industry, and changing the way we look at aging!
